Veriff's per-session price compounds with every re-onboarding; ours doesn't, because the credential travels to the next relying party instead of re-running the check.
Solidus is a public testnet: no mainnet, no token, no external audit, and no paying customer. Every claim below is checkable; none of them are a substitute for the certifications an incumbent already holds.
What Veriff does better
- 3,000+ business customers — including Wise, Western Union, Instacart, and Bumble — and $200M+ raised at a $1.5B+ valuation. A mature, revenue-generating incumbent with enterprise sales relationships we don't have.
- A genuinely deep detection stack: 1,000+ ML signals per session, passive liveness, and 12,500+ supported document types across 230+ countries. We have no published equivalent.
- Self-serve monthly plans ($49–$249) alongside enterprise contracts ($25K–$250K+) — a buyer can start without a sales call. Solidus is a testnet with no comparable tier structure.
- AML and biometric authentication ship as add-ons on the same platform. Solidus offers neither.
Where Solidus is different
- Re-verification costs $0.05 per presentation instead of a new $2–6 session — cheaper from the 2nd re-verification onward even against Veriff's lowest published (self-serve) rate.
- Credential reuse across apps. Veriff has none — every relying party starts a fresh session.
- did:solidus is registered in the W3C DID Method Registry and the SDK ships a BBS+ unlinkability demo (unaudited) — Veriff's stack has zero overlap with W3C DIDs or portable credentials.
