Solidus Identity vs Mattr
Mattr is the credential platform banks and governments already trust; Solidus is the open protocol underneath, for buyers who'd rather hold their own keys than rent Mattr's.
Solidus is a public testnet: no mainnet, no token, no external audit, and no paying customer. Every claim below is checkable; none of them are a substitute for the certifications an incumbent already holds.

- Live government deployments: New Zealand's digital health pass and driver's license, and the New South Wales Digital Driver Licence. Solidus has zero deployments and zero paying customers.
- A trust registry (issuer trust-list management) is a solved, operational Mattr product for their government customers — Solidus hasn't productized this yet.
- Direct participation in EUDI Wallet Large Scale Pilots and existing relationships with EU procurement bodies Solidus is still building.

- Native KYC issuance via verify.solidus.network in the same stack; Mattr's brief states it leaves KYC issuance to a partner such as Sumsub or Jumio.
- No enterprise contract minimum — Mattr's brief cites enterprise/government contracts running $100K-1M+ annually with low pricing transparency.
