Solidus Identity vs walt.id
walt.id gives you a full OID4VC issuer/wallet/verifier stack to run yourself. Solidus gives you the same standards plus the network and the KYC issuer already running underneath.

- did:solidus is registered in the W3C DID Method Registry and resolves on a live testnet — walt.id has no L1 or chain-anchored trust of its own, per the brief.
- Native KYC issuance via verify.solidus.network in the same stack, which the walt.id brief does not credit it with.
- Apache-2.0 protocol access without walt.id's gated Cloud tier for the hosted path.
