Ticketing Identity

Ticketing identity is the narrower question sitting inside Venue Access Control: not "does this person clear the door," but specifically "is the person holding this ticket the person the ticket belongs to?" It exists because a ticket, by itself, only proves that someone paid: a QR code or a barcode scans as valid whether the person holding the phone is the original buyer, a friend they gave it to, a scalper who resold it, or someone who screenshotted it from another device. Binding the ticket to a specific person is what turns "a valid ticket" into "a valid ticket held by the right person."

Two different strengths of this exist in practice, and it's worth being precise about which one a given system actually offers. The lighter, far more common version, Ticketmaster's SafeTix, AXS Mobile ID, binds a ticket to an account or device: the barcode rotates every few seconds so a static screenshot stops working, which defeats casual resale and screenshot fraud but does nothing to stop the legitimate account-holder from handing their unlocked phone to a friend. The stronger version (the one Turkish stadium entry has run toward under legal pressure) binds a ticket to a verified identity, checked against a government-issued document at the gate, which is a meaningfully harder thing to share or transfer.

Who actually built this

Türkiye's stadium-ticketing operator, first as Passolig and now rebranding as "Passo Taraftar," built the concrete, real-world example of identity-bound ticketing well before Solidus existed, driven by Law No. 6222 (see Venue Access Control), not by a ticketing company's own initiative. The 2025–26 season migration toward reading the chip on a fan's national ID card directly, rather than issuing a separate physical fan card, was publicly confirmed by Passo's general manager, Atıl Aykar. Separately, and for a different reason (anti-scalping rather than legal mandate), global mobile-ticketing platforms like Ticketmaster and AXS built rotating-barcode systems that bind a ticket to an account or device. Neither lineage is Solidus's work.

Solidus today

Solidus has not built a ticketing-identity product. No integration exists with Passo, Ticketmaster, AXS, or any other ticketing platform: Passo remains a cold, name-level research target in Solidus's own internal planning, with no decision-maker contact and no pilot underway. What's real and separate from any ticketing integration is Solidus Verify's general identity-verification and credential-issuance pipeline, live on a public testnet and unaudited, which is the kind of engine a real ticketing-identity check would eventually be assembled from: an identity credential issued once (at a hotel check-in, a SIM registration, an age-gated purchase) that a fan could, in principle, present at a stadium gate instead of re-scanning a document from zero. That reuse loop does not exist today; it is a description of the intended shape, not a shipped capability.
